Using CAT tools

If you answered „yes“ to any ot these questions, we can offer you translations made using CAT tools (computer aided translation). We use the programs Trados, Star Transit, SDL and Wordfast.

CAT tools let translators use texts they have already translated without having to translate a second time. If you submit texts for translation repeatedly that differ only in certain parameters, you may save a very significant amount of money. Another advantage is more consistent translations, because the tools constantly remind translators about how they have already translated individual passages of text, so they will not translate them differently the next time. You can create a dictionary for a translation, helping translators use uniform terminology even in a long text. Last but not least, texts are usually translated more quickly this way, because it becomes unnecessary to translate the parts of a text that repeat.
